Public Domain Medical Software/Medical Informatics Documents Repository ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This public-access directory contains files for distribution via FTP (File Transfer Protocol), to Internet remote sites. It contains public domain medical software for IBM-PC compatibles, documents and references lists about Medical Informatics, and annoucements and programs of conferences, symposia and exhibits on Medical Informatics. All files can be downloaded to your machine using the 'anonymous FTP' protocol. Software files have been compressed using PKZIP.EXE (Version 1.1) in order to reduce storage and transmission time requirements. Use PKUNZIP to decompress after downloading. The main directories are: pub/medicine Contains software for MS-DOS machines There are currently 64 software packages. pub/medicine/documents Contains documents on Medical Informatics, including past issues of NIBNEWS pub/medicine/conferences Contains announcements and programs of Medical Informatics conferences around the world for the next 3 years. pub/medicine/neuralnets Software and documents on NEURAL NETWORKS APPLICATIONS IN MEDICINE AND BIOLOGY To access these directories, your local system must have the FTP program.
