In July 1992, he took a leave to serve as a consultant to the Alliance for Health Reform, a nonpartisan educational group that helps journalists, elected officials and business leaders understand health reform issues. "After years of studying the health care crisis as a journalist, and a year helping other journalists understand it, I know only too well how urgent the need for health reform is. I am honored and excited to join the team for this historic mission," Anderson said. Anderson will assume his new duties August 23.
