He has asked Commerce Secretary Ronald H. Brown to lead the delegation which will include Members of Congress, American business leaders and senior Administration officials. Their active participation in this important event underscores the Administration's continued commitment to enhancing our economic and political ties to Africa. The Summit, convened by The Reverend Dr. Leon Sullivan and hosted by President Diouf of Senegal, will bring together an impressive group of African Heads of State, African and American business leaders and prominent private citizens. This Summit provides a unique opportunity to strengthen U.S. bilateral relationships and forge new partnerships between American businesses and their African counterparts. # # #
