I have just donated 24 years of the daily technical data for the NYSE. It includes Adv, Dec, Unchg, Upvol, Dnvol, Totvol, New Hi's, and New Lows. It is available by FTP to dg-rtp.dg.com. The fellow making this data site possible is Ed Savage. savage@dg-rtp.dg.com. I just sent the data to Ed so it may be a few days before it is available. It is in a Lotus spreadsheet, an ascii file and also set up for my software "MarketEdge" which is also available at the site. This data is quite valuable so get it while you can. I am trying to get people interested in my Technical Master Market Breadth Index which takes up where the Adv-Dec line leaves off. The Technical Index is the heart of my MarketEdge package. It is quite simple to calulate and lends itself to spreadsheets. Calculate the net percentage difference for (Adv-Dec)/total issues, (upvol-dnvol)/total vol, and (new hi's-new low's)/total issues. Algebraically combine to get a daily net. Accumulate the daily net to create the Technical Index. The Technical Index can be used for trend analysis, Stochastics, RSI, etc. Major divergence between the Technical Index and price indexes indicates major trend changes. Send me an e-mail and I will send you by return e-mail my software package and a complimentary copy of the SASI Market Timing newsletter for your evaluation. Bill Mason. My address is: sasi@europa.com
