SCOUTIII.BMP 256 Color 1024x768 Bitmap for your Windows backdrop. 05 Jan 95 This image is of my Estes Scout III. I laid the rocket on an HP flatbed scanner, and covered it with a magazine scenery picture. This scanning technique worked great! The Scout III is a neat little rocket that Estes discontinued. I bought this one in a small town store I happened to be in on my trip to Wyoming and back to California. The town, Wendover, was half Nevada, half Utah. I bought it in the Utah half. The last picture I uploaded to here, TORNADO.BMP, was FTP'd almost a year ago. I hope people liked it. Thanks to Greg Horine who was the one person to actually send me feedback, and motivate me to make this new picture. I have not flown the Scout III yet. The one time I tried, I went out to a baseball field early on a Saturday morning, and started to set up my gear. Within 15 minutes a dozen workmates showed up to practice softball, somewhat curious why I was on their practice field. Unfortunately, with them came a dense fog that made it impossible to see more than 20 feet up. Central coast California can be like that. Hope this backdrop brightens up your office/room! Send me E-mail if you like it. I can scan in more... | Scott Allan | | allan@wsmc-mis.af.mil | | I work on Vandenberg AFB, the Space launch range on the west | | coast of California.
