Outrage of the Month

Gerta: My mother came to visit and asked me, "Where did you get those cards hanging from your rear-view mirror?" She didn't realize they were air fresheners - she's so out of touch.

Trixie: I ate a frozen dinner. Afterwards, I casually read the list of ingredients, and was stricken with horror. The second main ingredient was Half-and-Half!

Prudence: The unexpected (though not unprecedented) Nutrasweetening of sugarless Trident. Only cinnamon (previously, my least favorite flavor) still has sacharine.

Gerta: I was shushed at a poetry reading.

Trixie: I went to the gynecologist. While she pressed and prodded, I, as usual, clinched my teeth and grimaced. She, also as is usual in this situation, looked concerned and asked, "What's wrong, does it hurt?" I am outraged to think that either A) having someone press one's abdomen hard in many places doesn't hurt other women, only me or B) it does hurt other women, but the doctors can't tell with them because they don't make the silly faces I do.

Prudence: Co-workers threw out my tampon!

Gerta: Wheels roller-skating rink discontinued Gospel Skate Night.
