I guess Simon has realized by now that it was ftp.debian.org's anonymous
service that was sending that message, wasn't it? Some of that message
(about being an i-connect customer) is perhaps incorrect for the anonymous
login.

Debian is an I-Connect customer, developers are using accounts
provided for them at my request and under my supervision. However, the
anonymous folks are not, but we still want the warnings that are
appropriate for the warez folks.

Is there any way to unbecome a monster in nethack?  Of course my character
is dead now, but..
