Document Windows
HTML documents are displayed in document windows. Multiple document windows
can be open at the same time. You can interact with each document window
independently. For example, you can read a document in one window while loading
files in other windows.
For tips on working with windows, see keyboard and mouse commands.
The parts of a document window and their functions are as follows.
- The title bar displays the title, if any, of the current document.
- The menu bar offers access to all of the Redbaron commands.
- The toolbar
provides quick access to frequently
used functions. To hide the toolbar, select Preferences from the Edit menu.
Select the Miscellaneous panel, if necessary. Then unselect the Show Toolbar
check box.
- The Back and Forward buttons let you move between documents
that have already been viewed.
- The URL field displays the URL of the current
document. If you know the address of what you want to view, type it in the URL
field and press Enter.
- The status line displays status information while a file is being
loaded. As the mouse pointer is moved over a link, the status line will display
the URL associated with the link. When the mouse pointer is moved over a toolbar
button, the function of the button will be displayed in the status line.
