The Microsoft stranglehold on the market is finally coming unglued! Several key factors are fueling the present development of alternative operating systems and software to run on those systems. The cost of Microsoft software has risen steadily, often without a corresponding improvement in the newer versions of software. The decision to move to a licensing system for most major software suites has rankled even some long time Windows enthusiasts. At the same time, Linux/Unix/Open Source distributions have developed to the point of offering a quality, reasonably priced and even at times Windows compatible alternative. It will be sometime before the various flavors of Linux develop a more desirable level of quality control and standardization. But the enormous amount of creative energy, the comparably inexpensive prices, and the atmosphere of serving the interest of the consumer more than makes up for any lack of unified Linux system. As more and more of the early version "bugs" are smoothed out; I predict that Linux will gain enormous ground on Windows as the operating system of choice. At present, however, there is a noticeable lack of Linux Compatible Software which is religious/inspirational in it's content. I am hoping to fill a sizeable portion of that void, especially for Christian Resources. I am an English Major, Pastor, Computer Tech and I write and publish top-quality Christian Resources in PDF format. These ebooks can be utilized by Linux, Mac, and Windows computers. I have also begun developing a directory of other excellent sources of Linux compatible Christian publications. This is only the tip of the ice-berg; as I hope to develop this project into an extensive resource for Christian products for the Linux Community. I invite you to check out the site at: http://www.christianpdfpublications.com Using the web to help spread THE WORD!
