tgz Package handling commands
-----------------------------

This package contains 4 commands to make using .tgz and .tar.gz packages a
lot easier. They are:

tgzadd
Installs packages, making a note of which files it places where.
To use, just cd to the root directory for the installation (usually / for
binaries, for example) and give the command
		tgzadd PackageName /some/path/to/package.tgz

tgzlist
Shows which packages are installed where. To find all packages do
		tgzlist /
For all in /usr/local, do a
		tgzlist /usr/local
The bit before the . is the installation directory, the bit after
is the package name. Note that tgzlist . and tgzlist .. give odd results.

tgzinfo
For consistency (and because I don't use GNU's tar), gives a
verbose listing of the package contents.

tgzrm
Removes all files in a package installed with tgzadd. cd to the
folder the package was installed from (eg / for most binaries) and do
		tgzrm PackageName

Suggestion, copy the three scripts to /usr/local/bin ;)

WARNING: This program is GPL and has absolutely no warranty. Further, if
a bad package decides to list /usr/bin amongst its contents, the
tgzrm command will merrily remove /usr/bin and its contents...
I removed the "Force" option on the rm, so if you make
the files read-only, you should be OK...
