To: Archive administrators, end users, and other interested parties: From: Mark Chasteen and Michael Roberts Date: August 1, 1996 Subject: My Portfolio Manager 1.70 upload The following is a uuencoded file containing the self-extracting ARJ archive containing the file MPM170.EXE ("My Portfolio Manager"), an application for Microsoft Excel 4.0 or higher, for managing equity investments. This application requires version 4.0 or later of Microsoft Excel. It will allow the user to keep many portfolios of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc., quickly and easily make trades in these instruments, and keep track of how well you are doing in all of them. There is an on-line tutorial, and plenty of help to get the user started. This release replaces Mark's Portfolio Manager 1.55, and My Portfolio Manager 1.61, fixes some minor bugs, improves on some of the existing features, and adds a few new ones. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ARCHIVE ADMINISTRATORS: You may, of course, check this upload for the presence of viral infection (for the record, we did, and found nothing), but if you do, please do NOT post the program after you open it. My Portfolio Manager 1.70 will start a 31-day evaluation clock once you load it for the first time. As an alternative, you can make a copy of this program, check the copy for viruses, open the copy of the program, etc., and if the program passes your evaluation, you should post the original, unopened file. If anyone has any questions about this upload, we can be reached (for now, at least :) ) on the Internet at: roberts@ucunix.san.uc.edu Thanks very much, and we hope that you find this program useful.
