 IN ANNOUNCEMENT OF OUR USENET ALT.CHINESE.TEXT REDISTRIBUTION SERVICE


BACKGROUND
As a subscriber of CCNET-L, requests for redistributing the USENET news
group alt.chinese.text(ACT) were posted again and again, and we do enjoy
this group very much.  So you may trust this as a feedback to ACT.

MAIN PURPOSE
Redistribute USENET news group alt.chinese.text for more audiences,
especially for those who have no USENET access, say, people on BITNET.

STATUS
Unmoderated.  Moreover, this is a bi-direction gateway.  You can 
not only receive materials from our redistribution list, but also send
your articles to alt.chinese.text via this service.

SUBSCRIPTION LIMIT
Unlimited.

Alt.chinese.text is a free forum. It is not a topic oriented newsgroup, 
as long as your articles are in Chinese or is otherwise related to the 
subject "Chinese text."  Nonetheless, after you get a hang of the 
software, you are strongly suggested to post in Chinese. Even for articles 
that best serve their purposes in English, a Chinese summary should still 
be provided.
