>1. Jiang Zemin Meets IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch .............. 25
>2. News Briefs (7 Items): Preparation for and Opposition to Olympic Bid . 76

The rest of the CND special deleted for brevity.

Some relevant news on this subject which were not
included in this report; Here are the news items dispatched by
Reuters and UPI from Beijing on March 4th 1993.

One of the news item is about a gigantic billboard which was
specifically designed to promote Beijing's bid for Olympic Games 2000,
and to welcome the IOC's inspection team on March the 6th
1993, yet some very brave people in Beijing who were bold
enough and risked a great deal to have successfully defaced
this billboard, just 2 days before the arrival of the IOC's
inspection team.

Such a strong message of defiance from the people of Beijing,
should not be ignored by the international community!

If Beijing can host the Olympic 2000 without the CG to
openly redress the June 4th massacre, the venerable
voting members of the IOC committee will be sending a
dangerous signal to the future generations on this planet;

For all those kids in Beijing who had loved ones killed or hurt
during the TAM massacre, and for all the kids on earth
who had witnessed the TAM massacre on the TV screens,
who were old enough to understand what had happened and
remembered the name of Beijing;
Some very dangerous signals will be send to them:

It is OK to kill innocent, peaceful and patriotic student
demonstrators, as long as the killers know how to please
those who have powers and influences!

It is OK for a brutal totalitarian region to kill their own youth
for maintaining a dictatorial power, as long as the killers have
the means to cover the blood by lavishing crowd pleasing spectacles
and generous gifts and favours!

It is OK for the criminal to play the rule of a charming host,
as long as there is enough monetary profits to be shared by the
privileged few!

It is OK to kill the voice of dissent and then get away with it, as
long as the killers have the means to manufacture new smiling masks!

What kind of signal do we want to send to our future generations?

The voting members of the IOC do have a serious moral responsibility
on their hands.

The following news from Reuters and UPI were carried by World Journal
on March the 4th, they are in HZ code.
