The digital pictures in this directory are scanned mainly from two books and one magazine: "Dedicated to Freedom" published by Roxene Corp, New York, "One Hundred Days on TAM Square -- A Live Report" by Asiaweek, and Time (Australian edition). The pictures are digitized by Minghui Yao and XU Ming Yang . They are divided into four series. gif pictures in mascrxxx.gif series are truthful records of government bloody crack down on student movement in 1989. demoxxx.gif is a collection of photos during the student demonstrations between 5/20/89 - 6/3/89. cssxxx.gif's are the pictures of the demonstrations held by overseas Chinese students and scholars (they showed their support to students at home and protested against the Chinese government) and timexx.gif's are pictures from Time (Australia) issues from May 29, 1989 to June 19, 1989, which have a variety of pictorial images of the June 4 Democracy Movement. The first three series are scanned in by Minghui Yao and the last series by XU Ming Yang. The high resolution color pictures are in GIF (Graphical Interchange Format). Viewers for various computer systems are available in pub/software/graphics/ directory. All the work in CND InfoBase was done by volunteers. You are welcome to distribute the pictures freely.
