In order to run these programs, you need: (1) An Unix workstation or an X Terminal. Examples of such hardware are Sun, HP WorkStation, Appollo, DECstation (running Ultirx), IBM RS (running AIX), SGI IRIS, Tektronix stations, Apple Macintosh. (2) X Window System Version 11 (Release 4 or Release 5) installed if you are using a workstation. Note that some other window systems are claimed to be X compatible, you may need extra work to set up Chinese software in those systems.
