Update on IFCSS Family Reunion Program
            ======================================

Dear IFCSS Members:

In the past two years, the IFCSS Government Affairs
Committee has successfully offered a Family Reunion
program which has helped hundreds of Chinese students
and scholars to obtain visas for their spouses and
children. This program not only provided needed service
to our fellow students and scholars, but also enhanced
the reputation and influence of IFCSS.

The IFCSS HQ has decided to continue this program.
Because the person in charge of this program is going
to move to the West, the HQ will handle the cases from
now on. Any inquiries, applications, replies or messages
should be sent to the HQ.

The Family Reunion program does not cover parents.
Since the HQ has received a lot of cases in which parents
have been rejected by U.S. Consuls, the HQ will contact
relevant agencies and persons to see if we can make it
easier for parents to visit the United States.

The IFCSS HQ wish to thank all those who have
contributed to this program, especially Dr. Huang Yuangeng,
formal Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee and
the founder of this program. Dr. Huang Liuqing, also
a formal chairman of the Committee, has also played a vital
role in the development of the program. Ms. Qing Xiaomian
and Ms. Xu Xiaoman have been the program officers (unpayed
volunteers) in the past two years. Their dedication to the
causes of IFCSS, their help to our fellow students
and scholars, and their unselfish spirit shall be
remembered by all of us. Ms. Laura F. Reiff, Attorney
in Arent & Fox (a law firm), has also helped to make
this program a successful one.

We thank all those who have helped this program in
the past but their names are not shown here. We will carry
on the tradition and develop more programs to serve the CSS
community.
