AMERICAN GINSENG: CUSTOM DUTY AND DELIVERY EXPENSE
 
1. Amoung of Duty Free American Ginseng Carry
	From last year, the amount of dury free American ginseng carried by each
passenger entering China was raised from around 4 lb to 10 lb.  If your total
carry of American ginseng exceed 10 lb, you will be asked to pay custom duty for
the extra part.  The current rate of custom duty for Amreican ginseng is around
55% (For accurate information, check with China Custom).
 
2. Expense of China Delivery using UPS or Post Service
	UPS provids oversee express delivery.  The cost of delivering a 1-2
pound package from U.S. to Beijing or Shanghai is around $50. For post service,
the cost of delivery of package of some size to same cities are around $30 (by
ship, 4-4 weeks), $45 (air, 15 days) and $60 (air, 7 days).
 
3. Custom Duty Paied by Package Receiver
	If the content of your package is known (no matter you mentioned or is
checked out) as American ginseng, the receiver of package will be asked to pay
custom duty (55% of Current Chinese market worthy of American ginseng).
