It aims to increase the openness and transparency of the IFCSS, and to encourage criticisms, suggestions and active participation from our members. May 30, 1994 HQ staff prepared checks and letters for 209 students and 41 teachers of poor rural areas in mainland, China. May 31, 1994 HQ staff sent checks and letters to all the students and teachers who are on the E-fund list. The local television station of FOX network interviewed HQ staff on the 5th anniversary of June 4 democratic movement. South China Morning Post interviewed HQ staff, asking about the development and achievements of IFCSS and its position on a few issues. June 1, 1994 IFCSS HQ staff prepared and sent the checks to the students who were selected for the New Students Academic Scholarship. National Public Radio interviewed HQ staff on 5th anniversary of June 4 massacre. Chronicle of High Education interviewed HQ staff on IFCSS's position on human rights issue in China. June 2, 1994 HQ staff started working on the list of the activity funds for universities. The amount of such funds is based on the performance of the local CSS organizations in promoting the IFCSS Medical Insurance Program. June 3, 1994 IFCSS Executive Director Xiaozhu Liu, along with Cai Ling and James Lilley (US Ambassador to China during the Bush Administration), was on CNN's Larry King Live talk show. Topics discussed included the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the Clinton Administration's decision to renew MFN status to China. June 4, 1994 IFCSS, along with other human rights and pro-democracy organizations, organized the commemoration of the 5th anniversary of June 4 massacre in front of the Chinese Embassy. The commemoration began at 2:00 p.m.. IFCSS president Lin Changsheng gave a speech.
