Resolution on the Award Project by Ding Yungui/Zhang Feng Whereas the IFCSS Working Committee of Science and Technology, Culture, and Education Exchange (the IFCSS WC in short hereafter) was authorized in the last term to carry out a project that would award some college students in China for their achievement in academical studies and sponsor some activities of student organizations on a competitive and selective basis (hereafter refer to as the project); Whereas the IFCSS WC was not able to carry out this project before the end of the last term largely because of hard-to-control application process, and thus the project has been carried over to the new term of the IFCSS; Whereas the project is the first meaningful one of this type of the IFCSS in its pursuit of educational and cultural exchange with China, and thus bears a unique significance; Whereas the exchange with China is the focus point of the new term and educational exchange is a vital part of it, and the same award project will be continued (upon the approval by the Council) in the current year; Whereas the IFCSS WC has announced the winners of the awards and the amount of the awards; Be it resolved 1) That the award for twelve (12) students and funding for one (1) organizational activity selected by the IFCSS WC shall be honored by IFCSS, the name of IFCSS shall be acknowledged together with other donating organizations. 2) That each one of the award winners shall be awarded the promised $240.00, and the organization $100, part of which ($1,800(*) in total) will come from the remaining balance of the last term and the rest ($1,180(+)) from external sources IFCSS shall go to; 3) That the IFCSS WC shall file a detailed report to the IFCSS headquarters on this project, including the rules of selection and all the application documents.
