I suggest: 1. A special session being arranged for discussion on the financial matters. 2. The session will be presided by members of IFCSS Supervisory Committee. 3. IFCSS Financial Committee/Inspection Team should present their final findings of their investigation and be ready to answer questions from the delegates. 4. Mr. Jeff Lin, CPA, should be present to provide professional opinions. 5. Formal and current IFCSS officers should be allowed to provide explanations and answer questions. 6. After all these activities, the Congress should adopt a resolution to present the results of the session. This resolution should be released to the public. The Task Force is the highest authority of the 6th Congress. Under your leadership, I hope that the 6th Congress will be an orderly and successful. Thanks for your attention. Zhang Qingsong ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 22 Jun 1994 03:38:31 -0400 From: Qingsong Zhang Subject: 6da Seminar Proposal: IFCSS and Post-Deng China Dear members of IFCSS 6th Congress Task Force: Not for long, China will enter a post-Deng era. There have been all kinds of predictions about China's situation after Deng, ranging from a disintegrated China to the establishment of democracy in China. What role will IFCSS play in post-Deng China? How to prepare IFCSS and the CSS to face the challenges and opportunities after the death of Deng Xiaoping? To answer these questions, I propose to host a seminar entitled "IFCSS and Post-Deng China," in IFCSS 6th Congress. Topics discussed in the seminar will include: "the Experience of IFCSS," "The future of China after Deng," "human rights, trade, and exchange," "IFCSS and U.S.-China Relations," "IFCSS and Student Movement." I am willing to discuss the details of this seminar with you. Thanks for your consideration.
