Jointly with CEO and other GMs prepare, maintain and implement the company's business strategy. 2. Manage and maintain the Engineering Department responsible for the following: a) inter-administration frequency coordination with adjacent and other satellite networks according to the provisions of the ITU. b) Radio Regulations: the objective being to secure orbit positions and spectrum free from Interference for present satellites and future planned satellites c) Plan, design and manage the implementation of the company's engineering capital expenditure programs including spacecraft and TT&C facilities. 3. Support General Manager Operations in the Launch Vehicle procurement and the interface between the satellite and the launch vehicle. 4. Prepare and maintain the mandatory technical requirements for all earth stations receiving / transmitting the company's satellites. 5. Provide a first line consultancy service to customers on network designs and the specification of equipment to comply with the mandatory requirements; optimisation of transponder loading etc. 6. Prepare and maintain the qualification and access procedures for new earth stations accessing the company's satellites 7. Undertake qualification testing in-plant and/or on site for new earth stations. 8. Provide technical support to the Marketing Departments: system analysis, fink bud&ets, technical proposals, technical presentations, negotiations support, marketing. data etc. 9. Provide an advisory service to all other parts of the company on all telecommunications and other technical matters. 10. Support Operations Department on specific issues such as the determination and elimination of harmful interference. 11. Undertake traffic planning wnenever required in accordance with the provisions of specific co-ordination agreements. C. Qualifications: 1. Degree in Telecoms or related subject and/or membership of relevant professional institutions, e.g. IRE, IEEE. 2. Fluent English D. Experience: 1. Minimum 15 years in telecoms equipment and/or system design, manufacture and operation and maintenance. 2. At least 5 years of satellite ground system operations/system design experience as a definite benefit but overall system design (end to end services) as a definite requirement. 3. Minimum 5 years management experience, at least 3 years of which must be at a senior level. 4. Knowledge of ITU co-ordination process a definite benefit.
