The new program will support Chinese scholars both at home and abroad to do research in mainland China focusing on the nations's key economic issues of reform and development. It is supported by the Ford Foundation. Through a well-coordinated process, which includes evaluation by a Review Board consisting of 11 distinguished economists both at home and abroad, grantees will be selected based upon academic merits and policy relevance of their proposals. A group of Chinese economic research and policy-making institutions will be served as grantees' selective host institutions. I plan to do some research about the negative/tag questions in Chinese; however, I found a few references in this topic. I would like to learn any suggestion/experiences/references from you on this topic, if you would like to share with me. You can write to me in E-mail: jwu@ucsu.colorado.edu Or you can write a letter to me: Joy Wu Campus box 409 Boulder, Colorado 80309 Thank you very much! Remote Buckup Systems From: IN%"SLCSQUARED@delphi.com" 18-SEP-1994 23:39:50.96 Dear Friend, Since you are someone who reads E-Mail, I thought you might be interested in getting a free copy of an unusual report. This report, entitled "Remote Backup Systems", describes a new data service that could be valuable to your community. Did you know anyone with a PC, a modem, and a telephone line could perform off-site back-ups for businesses in their area? And did you know that this service could generate up to ten thousand dollars per phone line, per month, (while the RBS operator is at home asleep) ? If you'd like more details, you can get your free copy of this report by calling Golden Lantern Data, at : 714-587-3186 . (24 hours) Best Regards, S. Conroy P.S. By the way, there is no obligation. +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=++ + Executive Moderator: Huang TANG Editor-in-Chief: Changqing YANG + +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + For subscription: mail "SUB CHINA-NT Your-First-Name Your-Last-Name" + + to LISTSERV@UGA (bitnet) or listserv@uga.cc.uga.edu (internet) + + For unsubscription: mail "UNSUB CHINA-NT" to the above e-address + + For back issues of CCB/CCF: + + anonymous ftp to: cnd.org[132.249.229.100]:pub/community/CCF + + gopher to cnd.org: 2.
