Procedures on Admitting New Members to EBCCF 1. One EBCCF member recommends a candidate to other members in ccf-editor; 2. If at lease one member seconds the recommendation, and NO objection from ANY other members appear in ccf-editor in 3 days, the Editor-in-Chief informs the recommender and others in ccf-editor to proceed further; 3. The recommender contacts the candidate, introduces CCF and working expectations. If the candidate is willing to join and WORK SOON, asks for a self-intro to ccf-editor, which contains basic information such as e-address, p-address, phone number(s), institution/department affiliation, and any self-description(s), plus ideas/suggestions on enriching/improving CCF; 4. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision in 3 days. If yes, sends formal welcome and working guidelines, adds entry to working lists. 5. If at step (2), no one second the recommendation, or there is at least one strong objection from current members, the Editor-in-Chief informs the recommender and ccf-editor the that the recommendation is not accepted. The notice shall be posted on ccf-editor soon after 3 days of the recommendation, no longer than 1 week after. 6. If at step (3), after further contact, the candidate rejects the invitation to join, the recommender shall inform other members in ccf-editor in 3 days. 7. If at step (4), the Editor-in-Chief decides not to accept the candidate, a notice with proper explanation is due to the candidate and all members in ccf-editor in 3 days. 8. If a reader informs ccf-editor about the willingness to join EBCCF, the Editor-in-Chief brings the attention to ccf-editor and waits for a recommender. If a member of EBCCF volunteers to recommend the applicant, then ccf-editor proceeds from step (1). If no member of EBCCF steps forward to recommend or there is any objection within three days, the Editor-in-Chief sends a reply, within another three days, to the applicant and inform the applicant that the joining EBCCF is based on invitation only.
