In this directory are 16x16 and 24x24 pixel fonts covering most of the
CJK Auxiliary and UniHan portions of Unicode. The files are
unihan16.hbf 16x16 font
*16.bin bitmaps for the above
unihan24.hbf 24x24 font
*24.bin bitmaps for the above
The bitmaps in the last two files were culled from GB 2312, BIG-5, JIS
0208, KSC 5608 and CCCII fonts, in that order (so that the font is best
suited to Chinese text). 1268 characters are unrepresented, and the 3228
(rather rare) characters taken from the CCCII font look different from
the rest.
The fonts include bitmaps for some characters in the Restricted Zone
- these are duplicate or variant characters required only for full
round-trip compatibility with existing CJK codes. A number of square
bitmaps for A-ZONE characters for naive compatibility with existing CJK
codes are bundled in the BDF files
misc16.bdf.gz
misc24.bdf.gz
