Hi, Admin, software: MView version: 3.10 Alt function: MView is a Microsoft Windows 3.x and Windows 95 integrated software that allows viewing of Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters under Windows. The supported coding types include GB, HZ, BIG5, JIS, EUC, SJIS, KSC, UTF7 and UTF8. Additional encoding in the supplement MV30SUP.ZIP includes GB ISO, Enhanced Hanzi, CNS EUC and CNS ISO-2022-CN, GB->PinYin and BIG5->PinYin conversions. MView is distributed as a shareware. It is an inexpensive software with some distinctive features that are not found in other softwares. Auto detect between SJIS and EUC. Auto detect between GB and BIG5. Support non-English Windows (allowed to ignore opaque text, not the best solution, but work on Netscape). Now have the options of forced ASCII, which allows viewing of European on CJK Windows (e.g. French on Chinese Windows). However, you must add the related fonts into MView's Ignore Font List. The difference between 3.10 and 3.10 Alt is that the Alternative version only use Unicode font. It occupies less hard disk space. However, if you have hard disk space, it is recommended to download 3.00 version, since there are some fonts missing in the alternative version.
