xhzview 3.0 Xhzview is an X window based simple browser for mixed 8/16 bit code file. Please see the man page for details. This version uses XToolKit and gets rid of the wsimple.[ch] files. A line-wrapping bug has also been fixed. To install: 1. Edit Makefile to fit your need. a. Change BINDIR and XtLIB according to your local installation. b. Look at xhzview.c and see if you want to change some of the defaults. If you do, change the CFLAGS line in Makefile. For example, to use 'hku-ch16' as the default Chinese font: CFLAGS = -DDEFAULT_HANZI_FONT='"hku-ch16"' NOTE: all the default parameters are in string form; hence you need to enclose them with quotes. 2. make 3. Install the Chinese fonts on your X window system if needed. This step is quite system-dependent, and the best bet is to ask your system adminstrator or local gurus to help. xhzview(1) USER COMMANDS xhzview(1) Name xhzview (version 3.0) - X-window 8/16-bit character file viewer Syntax xhzivew [ options ] [ other X options ] file Description The browser is a simple program to display mixed 8/16-bit characters on X window.
