California is the only place I know of that can have a 50 car pile-up
just because it rained! :-)
A friend from CA described it to me: on the first foggy day everyone
slows down from 70 to 25. On the second day they drive at 45. By the
third day they are back to driving 70mph with the usual insuffient following
distance. DANGER!! DANGER!! DANGER!!
