I think that with the new photo radar, they should be fair and allow
the use of radar detectors. Why is it that the government can use
any form of technology they like, but the public is still in the
stone ages?

I say we should push for radar detectors and other equipment to have
a fair shot against photo radar, and intersection cameras.

You did hear that after photo radar the government wants to install
cameras at most major intersections, which take a picture when the
light is yellow, just before it turns red? This way they can mail
you "failing to stop for a traffic signal" ticket.

They have justified this, by saying "a lot of accidents are caused
at intersections, not only will we catch people who run red lights,
but we can also have pictures of accidents just before they happened".

I think the government is getting ahead of themselves a tad. Sure
technological-policing has it advantages, but what about the disadvantages?
How about *** BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE ***? It will
progressively get worse until one day we wake up one morning and
realize how much we have allowed our government to actually watch
us. (and store it on magnetic media, film, etc)
