Lone Arrangers Roundtable Meeting
Wednesday, August 29, 6:00-8:00 pm We welcome all Lone Arrangers and others interested in Lone Arranger problems to join us in our roundtable meeting this year.
We will begin our meeting with a small business meeting for the election/re-election of one co-chair (Russell Gasero) and then break into small groups as in previous years. The topics, group leaders, and suitable questions for discussion are below:
Digitization – Susan Pevar Discuss digitization projects, problems, how-tos. Make connections with others undertaking similar projects.
Outreach/Inreach – Elizabeth Scott Discuss ideas for relating to the external and internal communities that you serve. Promotion and public relations ideas, newsletters and communication vehicles.
Administration - Alison Stankrauf Discuss budgeting, staffing, day to day survival as a lone arranger and theproblems of having no or limited staff/assistance, how to maintain sanity.
Making a Video for Outreach - Russell Gasero
Gather round the small screen (7” DVD player) and see how you can make a video about the archives and the history of your institution using inexpensive software.
We will follow this with a dinner gathering at a local restaurant in or near the meeting location. Several members have expressed an interest in doing this, so stick around and let’s do dinner.
