[edit] Meeting Information

The LAR meeting will take place on August 27, 2008 from 1-3pm at the San Francisco Hilton.

Following the business meeting, Lincoln Cushing will discuss labor poster art. Mr. Cushing has lectured and written extensively about poster art (see his web site http://www.docspopuli.org/). He is the co-author of the forthcoming “Art/Works – American Labor Posters.” Also, David Walters will discuss the Marxist Internet Archive. All are welcome to attend.

A walking tour of significant 1934 labor strike locations along the San Francisco waterfront will be led by Louis Prisco after the meeting. We will meet Louis in the lobby of the Hilton at around 3:15, and the tour will probably conclude around 6:30. Both those on and not on the tour are welcome to join us for dinner at a restaurant near the last stop on the tour. Dinner will be at Palomino's located at 345 Spear Street. --Wpatty 09:23, 07 August 2008 (EDT) Jordan Patty, LAR Chair
