Vocabulary
Development
The first class day of each week (usually Mondays)
will be devoted to a vocabulary quiz and presentation of the new
vocabulary words for the coming week. BE PREPARED and remember - this means you ALWAYS
HAVE SOME HOMEWORK TO LEARN AND REVIEW!
End-of-Course
Practice
Reaching level three (3) proficiency on the End-of-Course
state test in May/June is a major goal of English 9 students.
Therefore, work in grammar, literary terms, and other areas will
be a weekly, on-going feature.
Most weeks, time will be devoted to writing freely
in your journals. Grading is based on length - 1 page is A, ¾
page is B, ½ page is C, ¼ page is D. YOU SELECT THE GRADE YOU
RECEIVE.
