Dance Activities

The following dance activities have been sponsored and/or taught by Sandra and/or Ronald Still at Garner High School and other facilities.

  • Swingline Dance Club at Garner High School - Sponsored a voluntary club operating after school hours under the guidelines of the administration of Garner High School. Swingline was open to students and staff.
  • Dance Club at North Johnston County High School - Sponsored an after-school dance program and weekend workshop.
  • Wake Community Schools - Taught adult education dance programs at Garner, Enloe, Athens Drive, and Cary High Schools.
  • Parks and Recreation Departments - Taught social country western dance in Fuquay-Varina and Kenly.
  • NC DENR - Taught a country western dance series as part of a wellness program for office workers.
  • Club Dance on The Nashville Network - Arranged field trip for the Dance Club at North Johnston County High School, which gave the students the opportunity to be on six national television shows. The first and possibly only high school group to appear on the series. This included the group being selected for the spotlight dance portion of the show. The group performed Bocephus (song - Born to Boogie by Hank Williams, Jr.) and Torrance Twist (song - Baby Likes to Rock It (Like a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train by the Tractors).
  • Wake County School Board Office - Led an after hours dance wellness program for staff and assisted with a New Teachers' Workshop.
  • Swing Workshop at Garner High School - Sponsored and taught.
  • Country Western Line and Couples Dance Workshop at North Johnston County High School - Sponsored and taught. Used as fund raiser for the school.
  • Country Western Line Dance Workshop at North Carolina State University - Taught at the workshop, sponsored by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness for physical education teachers, parks and recreation workers, and community center staff.    
  • Healthy Carolinians 2000 Third Annual Conference - Taught participants.
