Classroom Procedures and Rules
Guiding Rules
- Demonstrate respect for yourself - maintain dignified behavior.
- Demonstrate respect for others - treat others as you want them to
treat you.
- Demonstrate respect for property - do your part to keep things clean
and pleasant.
Guiding Procedures
- Enter the room in a calm, dignified manner. Take your seat.
- Carry pass whenever you have permission to leave room during class
period.
- Turn in late make-up work. 70% credit is better than a zero.
- When teacher is instructing, listen quietly.
- Ladies and gentlemen do personal grooming in private - act accordingly.
- Unless you are of the bovine persuasion, keep gum chewing unobservable.
- Remain in your seat until the bell. Standing at the door is not an
option.
Critical Viewing Policies
- Critical viewing of films is a required component of the North Carolina
English curriculum.
- Films are for instruction, not entertainment.
- Listen quietly during films.
- Most films will have accompanying work or quizzes, so take notes
as you feel necessary.
