Position: Couples in promenade position, both facing line of dance (CCW floor direction); lady standing on the gentleman's right side; each will have heels together; his left hand will hold her left hand either in front of his left shoulder, in front of and slightly higher than his waist, or in front of the lady's left shoulder; his right arm will reach behind the lady and hold her right hand in his right hand slightly to the right of her right shoulder
Comment: This is casually similar to the earlier Horseshoe Shuffle.

Some steps will be the same for the gentleman and lady. Where the steps are different, the gentleman's counts will be given first, lady's second.

1. Right foot step diagonally to the front right

2. Left toe touch to close to right foot

3. Left foot step diagonally to the rear left (to its starting position)

4. Right toe touch to close to the left foot

5. Right foot step backward 1/4 turn CW (gentleman holds lady's right hand in his and extends their right arms out to their right side - similarly with the left; gentleman will now be standing behind the lady facing outside of the floor)

6. Left toe touch to close to right foot

Vine to the Left

7. Left foot step to the left

8. Right foot step behind left leg to the left

9. Left foot step to the left

10. Right foot step behind left leg to the left

11. Left foot step left 1/4 turn CCW

12. Right foot scuff beside left foot

1/2 Turn CCW, 1/2 Turn CCW

13. Right foot step forward-drop right hands

14. Pivot on balls/toes of feet 1/2 turn CCW-gentleman raises and turns under the left hands and for counts 14-15, the gentleman places his right hand at his belt buckle-the lady places the back of her right hand on her right hip

15. Right foot step forward

16. Pivot on balls/toes of feet 1/2 turn CCW-gentleman raises the left hands and the lady turns underneath and when finishing the turn, the gentleman will slide his right hand into the lady's right hand

Vine to the Right

17. Right foot step to the right

18. Left foot step behind right leg to the right

19. Right foot step to the right

20. Left toe touch beside right foot

Vine to the Left

21. Left foot step to the left

22. Right foot step behind left leg to the left

23. Left foot step to the left

Gentleman's Steps for Counts 25-36

The gentleman will lead the lady by lifting the left set of hands over the lady's head on Count 25, dropping the hands to a waist/chest high crossed arm position by the end of Count 27. The right hand set will follow the turning of the lady's body.

27. Right foot step in place

28. Left foot scuff beside right foot

The gentleman will start bringing the right set of hands down to his right side on Count 29 and by bending at the elbow, bring them up behind his back to his belt line by Count 31. He will lift the left hand set, both dancers will pass under the hands, and they will drop to waist/chest high by Count 31.

29. Left foot step diagonally to the front right

30. Right foot step to the right

31. Left foot step behind right leg to the right

32. Right foot scuff beside left foot

Gentleman drops right hand set on count 33 and pivots left elbow bringing his left hand in a 1/2 circle CW-leading the lady in her full turn CW.

33. Right foot step in front of left leg to the left

34. Left foot step behind right leg to the left

35. Right foot step behind left leg to the left

36. Left foot step to close to right foot

Lady's Steps for Counts 25-36

25. Right foot step 1/3 turn CW

26. Left foot step 1/3 turn CW

27. Right foot step 1/3 turn CW

28. Left foot scuff beside right foot

Vine to the Left

29. Left foot step left

30. Right foot step behind left leg to the left

31. Left foot step left

32. Right foot scuff beside left foot

33. Right foot step diagonally front right 1/3 turn CW

34. Left foot step 1/3 turn CW

35. Right foot step 1/3 turn CW

36. Left foot step to close to right foot

Gentleman and Lady Continue Dance with Identical Steps

Syncopated Cha-Cha Steps Forward

37-38. Right foot step forward, left foot step forward, and right foot step forward

39-40. Left foot step forward, right foot step forward, and left foot step forward

41-42. Right foot step forward, left foot step forward, and right foot step forward

43-44. Left foot step forward, right foot step forward, and left foot step forward

Repeat Counts 1 to 44 until the end of song.

Option 1

When dancing Counts 17-24 do the vines diagonally (on a line 45 degrees to the front right and then front left), floor space permitting.

Option 2

Do toe touch instead of scuff on Counts 28 and 32.
