Position: Individual line dance—all dancers face the same direction, heels together, hands on hips
Comment: Accepted for competition by the CWLDA, January 1992. Competition window may be slower or faster. Two Sets - Syncopated Cha-Cha Steps Forward with Step and Pivot

1-2. Right foot step forward, left foot step forward, right foot step forward—body twists just slightly CCW of line of dance

3-4. Left foot step forward, right foot step forward, left foot step forward—body twists just slightly CW of line of dance

5. Right foot step forward

6. Balls of feet pivot 1/2 turn CCW

7-8. Right foot step forward, left foot step forward, right foot step forward—body twists just slightly CCW of line of dance

9-10. Left foot step forward, right foot step forward, left foot step forward—body twists just slightly CW of line of dance

11. Right foot step forward

12. Balls of feet pivot 1/2 turn CCW

Two Jazz Boxes to the Left

13. Right foot step in front of left leg to the front left

14. Left foot step backward

15. Right foot step to the right

16. Left foot stomp to close to right foot

17. Right foot step in front of left leg to the front left

18. Left foot step backward

19. Right foot step to the right

20. Left foot stomp to close to right foot

Two Sets of Toe Points

21. Right toe touch to right

33. Right foot step forward

34. Balls of feet pivot 1/2 turn CCW

35-36. Right foot kick forward, ball of right foot touch to close to left foot and left foot step in place

37-38. Right foot kick forward, ball of right foot touch to close to left foot and left foot step in place

39. Right foot step forward

40. Balls of feet pivot 1/2 turn CCW

Repeat Counts 1 to 40 until the end of song.

Option 1

On Counts 16 and 20 substitute "step" instead of "stomp."

Option 2

On a large dance floor take your toe touches to the sides and slightly forward on Counts 21, 23, 25, and 27. Step forward on Counts 22, 24, 26, and 28.

Option 3

Some dancers start this on Count 21 and call the dance Black Velvet.
