Watusi

Music: El Watusi (The Watusi) written and played by Ray Baretto and covered by many others, Knock Three Times by Dawn, or similar music that has a sharp 4-beat rhythm
Choreographer: Unknown, suspected to be simply an easier variation on the Twist - 1963
Written for and posted to the Internet by Ronald Lee Still on July 23, 1998.
Description: 4-count, line dance. The hand movements have been described as a matador's working the cape from the right to left sides-rapidly.  Unlike the Twist, there are no foot pivots, while all hip thrusts and arm movements are to the same  side.
Position: Individual line dance—all dancers face same direction, feet are shoulder width apart, knees are bent
