Country western dance and ballroom casual social dance have styles,
which are NOT pictured below

Country western dance has a style dictated by the stiffness of boots, the weight of jeans, and the starch in the long sleeve shirts. Although the diversity of the two pictured styles can be interesting and the talent of the dancers very great, we do not accept these styles as appropriate for country western or typical social dancing. These are ad clips from Raleigh's ballet/classical dance and swing dance groups. See Janet's Etiquette and Clothing page.

We offer dance lessons through school clubs, adult education programs, park and recreation programs, and at ASCAP/BMI licensed facilities. In 2002 we plan to offer lessons through Fuquay-Varina Parks and Recreation and Wake County Community Schools.

East Coast Swing, American Waltz, and Cha-Cha are similar between the country western and most social dance floors by now. Please check our current dance list for lesson materials.
