BE A BOSOM BUDDY
SIGN UP - YOU MAY SAVE A LIFE! Every woman is at risk for breast cancer. The Cancer Therapy & Research Center created the Bosom Buddies program so friends can help each other. Here's how it works:
Choose a bosom buddy
Mail in a card (available in your department) listing your name and your buddy's name.
You will receive a self-exam card to hang in your shower, reminder stickers to put on your calendar, and a CTCR reply card indicating any action taken as a result of the self-exam.
If you find a lump, discoloration of the skin, discharge or change in size, call your physician or go to a clinic.
Check with your buddy on the fourth of every month to remind her to do a breast self-exam.
If you would like a Bosom Buddy brochure, see one of the following department canvassers:
Cynthia Williams, Purchasing; Diana Perez-Ibarra, Circulation; Minnie Lopez, Mail Room; Lucy Monita, MIS; Tina Lozano, Promotions; Rose Mary Herrera, Community Relations; Cynthia Martinez, News; Diane Lopez, Accounting; Amy Felan, Editorial/Commentary; Margie Perez, Circulation Administration; Wayne Barker, Prepress; Maria Rodeheaver, Transportation; Delia Gonzalez, Composing; Mary Jessie Saldana, Operations; Rob Chavez, New Media; Suzanne Hoholik, The Suns; or Janie Hernandez, Hearst Professional Development.
