All You Need to Know to Get There

Getting to Chapel Hill:

From Raleigh and points east:
From I-40, take Exit 273B heading to Chapel Hill. This will put you on Highway 54. This road will bring you right onto the UNC campus. As you climb the hill toward the stoplight, you will see a rock wall with a sign saying UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA, etc. Turn right onto Country Club Drive. After crossing Raleigh Street, you will be on Cameron Avenue. On Cameron, you may wish to use the visitor pay parking near Memorial Hall on your left or near Swain Hall on your right. Otherwise, turn right on to Columbia , cross Franklin Street, and turn right onto Rosemary to access the town's public pay lots.

From Greensboro and points west:
From I-40, take Exit 266 onto Highway 86. Turn right toward Chapel Hill. As you come into town, this becomes Airport Road. As you cross Franklin Street, it becomes Columbia. Turn left onto Cameron Avenue where you will see visitor pay parking near Swain Hall on your left and near Memorial Hall on your right. If both are full, you may wish to head back to Rosemary Street (one block behind Franklin Street) to the town's public pay lots. From Cameron Avenue, turn left on to Raleigh Street. Cross Franklin Street and turn left onto Rosemary. The parking lots will be on your left.

Parking:
Parking on Saturday should be no problem. On Friday, however, it will be more limited, as most parking spaces are by permit only. The closest visitor pay parking lot is behind Memorial Hall, accessible from Cameron Avenue, and across the courtyard from Manning Hall or near Swain Hall, also accessible from Cameron Avenue. Your next best bet is parking in Chapel Hill Town lots accessible from Rosemary Street, one block behind Franklin Street.

One more thing: You can expect typical Chapel Hill summer weather
