Is there a sure way to know if a girl is interested in you? My problem is that I become too emotional when trying to figure out if the object of my affection likes me back. I lose sleep, I can't eat and I spend nights alone screaming at my reflection.
I almost started that pattern again when I met a girl named Stephanie through a mutual friend from college. Stephanie is ambitious, smart, interesting and looks a bit like that girl from The Practice. We've known each other for a few months now and I had the gut feeling she was romantically interested in me, but I wasn't certain.
But rather than fall into my usual trap of becoming obsessed, I vowed to remain in control. To do this, I decided to use a time-honored tool of analysis that has served scholars well for years: The Scientific Method. After all, nothing fosters romance like meticulous, well thought-out scientific methodology.

Here is the official Scientific Method:
The Scientific Method
I. Make an assumption
II. Make a hypothesis
III. Test that hypothesis
IV. Reject or alter that hypothesis
V. Extend theory

Naturally, my hypothesis is: Stephanie is romantically interested in me.
With my hypothesis thus stated, I began to test.
