divya desa mangalasasanam
[The first] four slokas pray for the safety and well-being
of the four important kshetras, Srirangam, Tiruvenkatam, Kanchipuram, and
Tirunarayanapuram respectively, by the grace of the
respective Deities presiding theirein. These are muktaka
slokas (detached verses) sung by Vedanta Desika on different
occasions and find a place in his minor rahasyas.
The fifth sloka voices a fervent prayer to his own God,
Varada (Varadaraja of Kanchipuram) to preserve His puja
at the various kshetras free from hostile impacts, and
safe, sure and secure for all time.
