SrI:

Dear Devotee:

The Copper Kalasam is there because of its
superior conductivity to heat and electricity
and desirable thermoelastic properties .
Ceramic will take the moisture but not extreme
swings in temperataure .

Copper has excellent lightning rod functions
unlike ceramics or Marble .

The Kalasams have the PoorNa Kumbham
aspect to welcome the devotees from afar .

The 4  kalasams represent the four vedams
as at Srirangam PraNavAkAra VimAnam .

Dear Members,

One of my friend is building a temple for Sri Krishnar in Manipur.
Some of the trustee wanted the Kalasam to be in copper and some wanted
to be in Ceramic / Porcelain. So, can anyone tell what is the
advantage of having the Kalasam in Copper and the disadvantage of
having it in Ceramic / Porcelain. Its little bit urgent. Please
respond if anyone knows about this.

Adiyen.
