Dear Sri Sudarshan madabushi swAmi, It is indeed true that the satsangh gathering is one of the highlights of our whole philosphy.
Sri nam-AzhwAr finally gives this punch in thiru-voi-mozhi "andhamil pErinbathu adiyarOdu irundhamai'.
In the second ten vis-a-vis AchArya hrdhayam I quote the following words from AchArya hrdhyam 220-from Posting 125:

VI. ennum gnAna palamAna oLik koNdA mOksham thEadi VII. vAda...." Here, AzhwAr's is supposed to be yearning for the experience in the great abode. What is the experience is further detailed in the following pAsuram:
VI. kaLippum kavarvum aRRu piRappup piNi mUppiRappaRRu-oLikkOnda sOdhiyamAi -adiyArgaL kuzhAngaLai vudan kUduvadhu enRu kolO.."2-3-10

The yearning is for" adiyArgaL kuzhAngaLai vudan kUduvadhu enRu kolO" -- Oh! When will I be in the midst of the devotees of the Lord.

VI. kaLippum kavarvum aRRu piRappup piNi mUppiRappaRRu-oLikkOnda sOdhiyamAi -adiyArgaL kuzhAngaLai vudan kUduvadhu enRu kolO.."2-3-10.

In the same second ten, AzhwAr did not get to meet the Lord.
He viewed natural happenings also due to  being separated from the Lord-like the waning and waxing moon etc. thiru-voi-mozhi 2-1.
However, here, AzhwAr did not get the togetherness with the devotees. The impact was more pornounced. He became griefsticken and started talking in feminine- peN pEachu- extreme ecstasy-prEamthil peN pEachu.
VI. kaLippum kavarvum aRRu piRappup piNi mUppiRappaRRu-oLikkOnda sOdhiyamAi -adiyArgaL kuzhAngaLai vudan kUduvadhu enRu kolO.."2-3-10

Does that not highlight the greatness of satsangh?

We enjoyed the postings on satsangh.

Subject: [Oppiliappan] EPILOGUE: "There is Salvation in numbers"- The Theme of"satsangh" in TiruppAvai

Dear friends,

Salvation -- the state of absolute communion
("sAyujya") with God in his Abode of SriVaikuntam --
is not narrow individual experience but an
all-expansive, all-encompassing, all-overwhelming
collective one. It cannot be denoted at all with
reference to any sense of feeling such as "I", "Me" or
"Myself". It is more "We", "Ours" and "All of Us". It
is never easy to realize this truth since it involves
making a giant, quantum leap from the feeling of
individualistic "I" to the universal "WE". It involves
moving from the 'first-person-singular' to the
'first-person-plural'… And according to Vedanta, it is
only when Man has learnt to make that movement does he
find God…

It is 'satsangh' alone that can really enable Man to
make the vast leap of the spirit. It is only
'satsangh' that can help us move away from the
'first-person-singular' towards 'first-person-plural'…

The Bliss of God becomes available to the human soul
when it takes up residence there eternally. But even
there the Bliss of God cannot be enjoyed in the
selfish sense of the individual… The principle of
"koodi-irunthu-kUlirndhu…" operates inexorably in
God's Heaven as it operates here in Man's world.

The TiruppAvai in 30 beautiful stanzas reveals this
important truth to us as no other comparable text in
Vedantic scripture or literature has ever done or will
ever do.

Regards,

dAsan,
Sudarshan
