Dear Bhagavathas,

Diwakar kannan swamy is absolutely right.  There are many dd's that need help.  But funds alone is not enough.  Today, we have many srivaishnavas who want to contribute from USA and other countries but we lack volunteers in India who can regularly visit the dd, submit the contribution and update on the status.  Moreover dd kainkaryam doesnt stop with just providing funds, emperuman needs regular sincere visitors/devotees who are ready to take part in other kainkaryams like arulicheyal ghosti, veda ghosti etc.  The strength of any temple lies in the number of sincere bhakthas the perumal has.  So we should also motivate Srivaishnavas to visit dd's atleast near to them on a regular basis and take part in physical/vAchika kainkaryam to the extent they can.  Locals have to be motivated.  Mainly the younger generation should be educated on the importance of divya desa kainkaryam and Srivaishnava philosophy. Parents should instill the priniciples of Srivaishnavism in young children.

As part of Vedics, we invite all those who are interested to take part in kainkaryams to dd's to join us.  Those in India who want to take part in physical service can join our Vedics (I) team.  You can get our contact info from www.vedics.net.

For all your information, there is one organisation run in Srirangam (head quarters of Srivaishnavism) named "srimaan bhattar kuzham" for educating young kids about Srivaishnava principles, stotras, arulicheyals etc.  The founder of this organisation is "Sri parasara Badri Narayana bhattar swamy" (a direct descendant of  Sri Parasara bhattar).  There are about 80 children benefitted by this Srivaishnavic school.  To know more about the activities of this divine organisation please visit  http://parasarabhattar8220.fotoblog.co.uk

All of us want to do the same thing, it is just that we should all join hands and take care of our dear divya desams and Sri Ramanuja darisanam.

Dear bhagavathas

This was discussed a lot with passion in the past. Would like to
mention that couple of groups have already taken up kainkaryams in few
divyadesams. Check the Kainkaryam/DD kainkaryam in the urls below.

http://www.srivaishnavam.com/index.html
http://vedics.net/

Request bhagavathas to support nithyaradhana kainkaryams in divyadesams
that are languishing due to paucity of funds.

Even if it is a little amount like $10 or Rs. 500/- or whatever you
feel you can contribute, pl. do so consistently every month without
fail and spread the message on the importance of this to your
friends/relatives.

Let us assume that just 50% of dds are in need of support which
translates to 54 divyadesams. To start with, if we spend Rs.5000/-
everymonth for each of these divyadesam, monthly it would cost
Rs.270000/-. Don't we have 1000 Srivaishnavas who can contribute
Rs.270/- everymonth. Don't we spend more for our
cable/telephone/internet bills ! Am I missing something ?
