SrI :
Dear BhakthAs :
It is moving to see the enthusiasm and devotion of
many of you wanting to participate in this laudable Kaimakryam
to maintain our ancient treasures , enjoy them and protect them
to pass it on to the successive generations .
It is most gratifying to learn that you are prepared to set aside
a small contribution from your earnings per month to help maintain
nithyArAdhanam at temples that are experiencing dificulties .
Number of bhakthAs involved with or having experience in administering
such Kiamkaryams have sent in their inputs at a cautionary level to make
sure that these well meant outpourings of Bhakthi reach the targets and
not grabbed by greedy ones at the local level .We can tell you a lot
of
horror stories even at temples like Thirumala .
Time and again ground level supervision , control are needed
to have accountability . Otherwise , it will be a disappointment .
It is a sacred responsibility to recieve and manage these funds
from dedicated AasthikAs .
I have some suggestions to offer for you all to consider :
1. Identify a religious minded person in India , who is just retired ,
has the time , energy and enthusiasm to serve as the eyes and arms
to direct and manage the
priorotized distributions to the most needy Temples
which do not have steady AarAdhanam , Food offerings , Lighting , Vasthram etc.
It is not difficult to identify such dhivya dEsams based on the ongoing field work
of groups like those of Sri Venkat of Dubai & Vedics.net .
I will help here and be happy to recieve your recommendations.
2. Form a committee of experienced people from overseas
and India , who have been involved with such Kaimkaryams .
Sriman Anbil Swamy , Sri Urupattur Soundra Rajan Desikan Swamy
of Thiruvaheendhrapuram , Sri Venkat
Ramadhurai , Sriman IVK Chary
of Kuwait , Sri Swamynathan of UAR (Dubai) , SrI KrishNan Cidambi of
Bangalore , Sri Mukund Srinivasan of Singapore are a few who come to my mind.
3. identify A list of Young and willing volunteers to supervise the work , visit the identified
temples in coordination with the officals of the Institution already active in the fields .
Bring them on board . Sriman A.Balaji , Sri Manoram Chaitanya Das and others
come to my mind . People can be requested to volunteer .
4. We will focus only on the needy temples and not the rich ones
(
Thiruvenkatam , Oppiliappan Sannidhi , Srirangam , ThirumOhur ,
Thiruvaheendhrapuram , Koodalazhagar , Kerala Temples ( for different reasons ) ,
Vada Naadu Temples , and a few others .
All of these are just some suggestions .
In summary , this Kaimkaryam can be done but would need time and patience as well
as genuine commitment . Let us exchange some more information to make
necessary advances .There is enough work to do for number of groups
without stepping on each other's toes .
