Introduction:

For anything good there are more and more of obstacles.   Won't there be a whole lot of hindrances for such a divine experience?

Azhvar: Oh! All these hindrances vanished just in the second when I saw Him, just like a dew drop on seeing the sun and a spark of fire falling on a bag of cotton.

Commentary:

(ponthOi varai mArbil poonthuzhAi thirumAlE) Like a mountain dipped in gold, the divine chest of the supreme lord is glittering with all the divine jewels (thiruvAbharanams).  The blessed thulasi garland also decorates the divine chest.

 Who is the supreme lord?

Oh! Don't you see the Lakshmi, who captivated by the divine beauty of the divine chest never leaves the divine chest of the lord.  The supreme lord is none other than the Lakshmi vallabhan (divine consort of divine mother).

(andRu thirukkaNdu kOnda thirumAlE) On that day when the lord with 1000 hands churned the milky ocean –

 "divyamAlyAm bharadharA snAthA bhooshNabhooshithA
pasyathAm sarvadEvAnAm yayow vakshasthalam harE: " (Vish.pur. 1-9-105)
[The divine mother after her divine bath, dressed with celestial dresses, jewels and garlands infront of all the devas went and seated herself in the divine chest of Hari]

Reiterating the divine verse of parasara maharishi, azhvar says that the goddess of all wealth, rushed to find her place in the divine chest of perumal, like a very poor person fascinated while finding enormous wealth.

(thirumAlE) Oh! One who is passionate towards piratti (thiru-the divine mother).  Though piratti is the head of all the ladies, whose natural tendency is to hide their love and passion still she couldn't resist herself from reaching perumal's divine chest.  But while comparing the love and passion of perumal towards piratti even her love becomes like a tank of water whereas perumal's love is a flooding ocean.

(vunnai) You, who have the greatness of being the wealth of all wealth (thiruvukkum thiruvAgiya selvA)

(en manam marukkaNdu kOndu) My mind didn't desist looking at your supremacy instead gaining strength due to the existence of piratti (purushakarabhoothai) for support settled in your divine experience.

(endRE kazhal kaNdEn) As my mind got immersed in your divinity, I being a servant of the divine mother was blessed with a pastime of always having the darshan of your divine feet and rejoicing.

The A-kAram in endRE – shows that this is the only pastime.

(aezhpirappum yAn aRuththEn) Since my mind without thinking of the results permanently settled under your divine feet, I have now broken the cycle of life and death and am now assured of no more births in this world.

Interesting points from DivyArthdeepikai of kanchi swamy

In the previous paasuram, azhvar enjoyed perumal with all the specialties'.  In this paasuram he says that all the enemies ran away at the very instant he got the divine darshan.  "Oh! Lakshmi vallabha! One with the divine chest on which even piratti cherishes to reside! Since my mind got immersed in your divinity today among my innumerable births only today did I get the rare chance to have the divine darshan of your divine feet.  So now I have overcome all the births that hindered me getting the divine experience."

In the previous paasuram pEyAzhvar enjoyed the divine beauty of perumal's physique ("ponmEni kaNdEn").  Like a child that likes the mother's breasts more than all the other parts in her body, Srivaishnavas are more attracted towards the divine feet of the lord.  So correcting himself pEyAzhvar in the second paasuram says "endrE kazhal kaNdEn" (Today I saw the divine feet)
