Subject: Kaimkarya Rathnam: Lifetime Accomplishment Award
Announcement for 2006

 Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama:
Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam
--------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Bhagavathas,

During the ongoing, month-long celebrations of Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi
in the month of Chithirai, it is time to remember, thank, and honor
those who have dedicated their time, energy, and lives to promote the
awareness of Sri Ramanuja Siddhantham outside India.

Keeping in line with its well-established traditions, Sri Ramanuja
Mission, Inc. of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Periashramam (SRM) is
extremely pleased to honor someone who is well known for his
dedication and service to the Srivaishnava community -- someone who
has four graduate degrees, of which three are from MIT; an author of
fifty technical papers; a holder of six U.S. patents; an IBM
consultant with a record of over twenty-six years of distinguished
service; a former Special Assistant to the Secretary General of the
U.N. Conference on the Application of Science & Technology to
Developing Nations; a prolific writer and moderator of numerous
Srivaishnava e-lists since 1995; and a well-known philanthropist who
has been instrumental in fund-raising for various worthy Srivaishnava
causes.

We are of course referring to the renowned scholar, U. Ve. Sri
Oppiliappankoil Varadachari Sadagopan. SRM is pleased to confer upon
Sadagopan Mama (as he is popularly known to us) the title, "Kaimkarya
Rathnam," SRM's most prestigious award in recognition of a lifetime
of accomplishments and service to the sustenance and nourishment of
Sri Ramanuja philosophy.

This title carries with it an honorary plaque and blessings from HH
Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan and will be presented in Washington
D.C. in the presence of fellow bhagavathas during Sri Ramanuja
Jayanthi celebrations on Sunday, May 28th. The following day,
Monday, May 29th, Sadagopan Mama will receive the plaque in person in
the divine presence of Sri Ranganatha Divya Dampathi, Sri Ramanuja,
and Swami Sri Nigamantha Mahadesikan at Sri Ranganatha Temple in
Pomona, New Jersey. SRM president Sri Poondi Vijayaraghavan will be
presenting the award to Sadagopan Mama with full temple honors as
part of Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi and HH Sri Srimushnam Andavan's 72nd
Thirunakshathram celebrations.

We request fellow bhagavathas to join us in honoring Sadagopan Mama
and in praying to Sri Ranganatha Divya Dampathi and Poorvacharya
Padukas to bestow upon him a long life and continued service in the
years to come.

Please see below for additional highlights of Sadagopan Mama's
accomplishments.
