kavEri virajA sEyam Vaikuntam Ranga mandiram
sa VasudEvO RangEsayaH pratyaksham paramam padham
SirVaikuntam is the place that cannot be defeated. It is also known as AparAjithA. This is also called as ? Thelivisumbu ThirunAdu? by Azhwars. This falls under nitya vibhUti. This place is separated from leelA vibhUti by a river called virajA. This river allows only the souls that have shed off the rajO gunam to cross it.
There is a place that is part of both the vibhUtis. This place is known as ?BhoolOka Vaikuntam?. The very fact that it is in this samsAric world proves that it is part of leela vibhUti. But, what is it that makes it nitya vibhUti too?
The entire place is surrounded by kAvEri. If we separate the banks of kAveri, they are Vada Thiru kAvEri (north) and Then Thiru kAvEri (South). Let us logically see why this is called 'BhoolOkaVaikuntam'.
KAvEri is nothing but virajA river. VirajA is the one that separates the samsAric world from SriVaikuntam. Similarly kAveri separates Srirangam from rest of the world. Secondly, the vimAnam is known as pranavAkAra vimAnAm. Ranganthar is none but the One who is ParaVasudEvan. He is reclining under PranavAkAra vimAnam. Pranavam is the starting point of everything. The banks of kAvEri can be referred to as four purushArtAs.
Southern side of Vada Thiru kAvEri - Dharma
Northern Side of Vada Thiru kAvEri ? Artha
Southern side of Then Thiru kAvEri ? KAma
Northern side of Then Thiru kAvEri ? MOkshA.
If we picturise this landscape, we see that kAvEri has enclosed dharma and mOksham and left kAma and artha outside Srirangam. Hence it is equivalent to virajA river. There are 7 prAkArams that are equivalent to 7 lokas till satya loka. The 7 veedhis refer to 7 chandas. Like how there is a mandapam with 1000 pillars in SriVaikuntam, we also have a mandapam with 1000 pillars. Gayatri is the supreme vEdic mantram. We have Gayatri mandapam in Srirangam with exactly 24 pillars, referring to 24 letters in the Gayatri mantram. There are two Thirumanal Thoons (pillars) in front of PerumAl. They refer to 2 letters in the word Ranga, and Hari. There are 9 kalasams in the vimAnam, that refer to Om, ApO, JyOtirasO? BhuvasvaraH?. There are 9 archakas appointed by PerumAl to do abhishEkam to these kalasams. They are none but the NavagrahAs. Now, one can realise whether it is necessary for us to approach navagrahAs when we face problems. They themselves are doing their duty to PerumAl. We need to do our duty to PerumAl.
Hence Srirangam is also a nityavibhUti. Combining the nitya and leela vibhUtis, Srirarangam is the one and only place, which can be classified as ?Ubaya vibhUti?. Let us enjoy how this Divya Desam has completely inherent bhOgam in the following postings,
