Sri PeriyavAchAn piLLai's inqusitive skills is extremely wonderful in TirunedunthANtakam vyAkyAnam
In the fourth pAsuram beginning he quesitoned the reasons for beginning with Indhra, leaiving out rudhrA and adding the sufix 'ar' instead of 'an' i.e indhrar-Biramhar.
Kaliyan next mentions EmperumAn as being the driver of the five pancha bUdham-s namley AkAsam-vAyu-agni-nEr and prithvi i.e the sky, wind, fire , water and earth.
These are created in this order
The commenator questions like this
These elements are not mentioned in the order of creation but here it is earth , wind , fire, water and the sky.
Why is this mixed order?
The earth is stable and is base. It does not move about like wind or fire. Considering these properties this is mentioned first.
The other three elements move about freely namely, water, fire and wind and their merits and demerits are common, these are clubbed and mentioned .
The AkAsam is mentioned finally as it encompasses all the other elements and brings them out.
The order is thus explained.
Why should the Supremacy over the dities (indrhan-BrahmA) are specified first and then the five elements later?
Well, since some people have doubts in their mind whether these deities are Supreme AzvAr first takes up to dispel such doubts.
Here, in this again, The Commentator goes far far beyond the reproduction of meanings but anlayses the logic from the viewpoint of Tirumangai AzvAr.
