j~naanakarmAbhinirvatyo^r bhaktiyogaH prakIrtitaH || (Verse 3) What is extolled in the middle set of six chapters is Bhakti Yoga, which
can be accomplished only by the acquisition of knowledge of the Atman and
performance of Karma(Action), specifically (jnAna-karma yOga) stated in the
first shatka, and which leads to the experience of Bhagavan in his true
form.
"Bhagavan" is paramAtman (Hence those who are devoted to hum are called
Bhagavataas).
"Tatva - Yathatmya" - the true nature of Him.
"Avapti - Siddhaye" - for the benefit of the experience of that
nature.
"Bhakti yoga" - Here yoga means upAya.; it may mean Dhyana, in which case
Bhakti means love and affection.
"Prakeertita" - Extolled as superior to other things and explained with its
naute, its elements or parts and the gains to be obtained.
